Atlanta Ranks 13th in Stress Study

In at study that was released by Portfolio.com and bizjournals.com.
Atlanta is ranked as the 13th most stressful market.
The study added that Atlanta stressors included: a high
unemploymetn rate of 10.3%, 4.8% drop in per capita income
from 2008 to 2009, 8.4 percent of families living below
poverty level, 30.8 minute average commute time to work,
and 14.5 murders per 100,000 residents in central city.
Portfolio.com and bizjournals created a 10-part formula to estimate the stress levels in the nation’s 50 biggest metros, using the latest data available from several government agencies and private firms.
Detroit topped the list.
Life is considerably calmer in Salt Lake City, which ranks as the nation’s least stressful metropolitan area.
