Rome Starts Road Trip with Win

The Rome Braves got their road trip to Asheville off to
a good start with a 7-6 victory Thursday night.
Rome exploded for thirteen hits but had to hold on as
the Tourists came back with three runs in the bottom
of the ninth to make the game close.
Chris Masters got his second win of the year to improve
his record to 2-5.
Rome scored what turned out to be the winning runs
in the top of the eight as Jake Hanson led off with a
double. Asheville blew the play on a Bobby Rauh sacrifice
but allowing Hanson to score and putting Rauh on second.
Philip Gosselin moved Rauh to third and Todd Cunningham
singled home the winning run.
Rome returns home August 2nd.
