Financial Reform? - SEC Can Duck Info Requests

According to the Fox Business Network, the Securities and
Exchange Commission (SEC) believes that it no longer has to
comply with requests for information from the public.
A little-noticed provision in the new `financial reform
bill` that became law last week, apparently shields
the agency from requests, , including those filed under
the Freedom of Information Act.
The SEC was badly embarrassed by its failures in the
Bernie Madoff case as well as many other issues. Now
it may be able to hide its errors from the public.
The SEC hasn`t responded to requests for comment.
