In order to pay for education projets, Georgia State Schools
Superintendent Kathy Cox proposed on Friday that the price for lottery
tickets be increased. Cox said on CNN that by raising the price
50 cents would help raise an extra $350 million for the state
budget.
Cox said that the increase would preserve the HOPE scholarship
and prekindergarten program.
