Foreclosure Rate Jumps Big in Metro Atlanta

According to a report by Equity Depot, foreclosures in metro
Atlanta were notices in February were up 27% compared to January,
and were increased by 34% where compared to February of 2009.
The company reports that, in the 13 county Atlanta metropolitan
area, there were 10,357 foreclosure notices published in February.
There were 8181 similar notices for the area in January.
A year ago there were 7701 properties listed.
The top five counties in terms of most listed were, in order:
Gwinnett with 2163, Fulton with 2008, DeKalb with 1511, and
finally Cobb and Clayton Counties.
