Georgia Tech and Georgia both won conference games, and
on the same night. Tech defeated Miami 78-68 while the Dawgs
bested the Cats 90-85.
Georgia improved to 3-12 in SEC action as Terrance
Woodbury scored 30. The defeat may well end Kentucky`s
hopes of getting an NCAA tournament nod as well.
Tech got its second conference win as Lewis Clinch
joined Woodbury in scoring 30. Both Clinch and Woodbury
are seniors.
Tech is on the road for its final conference game,
Saturday at BC while the Dawgs host South Carolina
in Athens on Saturday. South Carolina is tied
with Tennessee for the SEC lead, so a Georgia
victory over the Gamecocks would be especially sweet.
