The Philadelphia Flyers extended their winning streak over
Atlanta to 14 as they edged the Thrashers 3-2 on Sunday.
The streak now extends back over three years as they
have outscored Atlanta 19-8 in four matches this season.
The defeat dropped Atlanta even deeper into the
NHL Southeast cellar. Only the New York Islanders
have a worse record than Atlanta in the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta is in Tampa on Tuesday and then home to
Chicago on Wednesday before beginning a western
road trip at Anaheim on Sunday.
